A few months ago I asked about when we could view pictures in a thread. Any word on that?

A few people have seen the beta of it. It has one fundamental issue with navigation, and another with thumbnail sizes, but the vast majority of it is there. The dev got another huge project, so he is trying to fit the last bits in. We are in nearly daily communications with him.

I can't remember whether there's another place to post forum stuff, so apologies if this should go somewhere else. I'm curious who's sponsoring this ad that's at the top of the page today if the forum really wants to be in the applicable ad network.

We have political ads blacklisted, but some b do get through. I'll ask Ad-ops to check on our settings.

Cheers,

I know this may be a very basic question, but how do you create a labelled link in a message?
I think you meant how to create a hyperlink within a post with different words than the actual URL.

I only know how to do it by writing out the BB code for it, but you start the code {url=URL YOU WANT LINKED}WORD(S) THAT YOU WANT HYPERLINKED{/URL}

Just replace my squiggly brackets with square brackets and the words and URL you want to use.

For instance if you want to hyperlink the words For Sale and the link you have in your signature you would write it out like this with square brackets instead of squiggly ones:

{url=https://www.styleforum.net/buyandsell/authors/bry2000.2092/}For Sale{/url}

and it would look like this:

For Sale

There's a button above the message field that looks a little bit like three links in a chain (should be the seventh from the left). Write the text that you want in the message field. Highlight the text. Click the button. A window should pop up that allows you to paste in the URL. Click "Insert." Then the highlighted text should have a link associated with it.
