Just picked up this Seiko 5 (SNXF01F) as I wanted a white/sliver face watch to complement my other black faced watches. I've been looking for one of the discontinued Seiko Spirits (SCVS013) to no avail and stumbled across this model. It has a nice simple face, black stick markers and hands with lume that are easily readable in any (or no) light. It's not at the Spirit's level of quality, but not at the price point either ($65 vs. $400). Off with the cheap rattlely bracelet and on with a black croc strap that was lying around. Seiko offers great looking automatic watches for not a lot of coin.

I'd agree on the "5" looking a bit wrong. But $65 for an automatic? I have several Seiko's and they're a real bargain with excellent quality at their price point.

It appears Seiko has been trying to revamp their image into a more upscale brand. Might help if that create a new brand name, such as Toyota creating Lexus. I have been toying with picking up a Japanese mfg. Seiko.

I like it. I, too, have been searching for a Spirit with a leather band at the right price.
