I am 5 minutes into the first ep. of the new season and it is already one of the most inappropriate (and thus hilarious) episodes in recent memory. Awesome. [IMG]

A great start to a season that is hopefully much better than the last!

I thought the 1st episode of the new season would be a lot funnier.

Agreed. Not up to the usual standard.

To be fair, it only fell apart in the second half. Good premise, bad follow-through.

it was kind of meh for me. Kind of felt like it was a recycled version of the high school musical episode they did. Though i did enjoy when the jonas brothers said BBAAAAYYYBAAAYYY every 10 seconds ha

I liked the "last nite" eps about Obama's election; especially the idiots rioting in the streets "CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

+1, Randy Marsh singing Obama's name in all those songs was great.

Loved the new episode, which combined with "Important Things" makes this my new favorite hour of television. The "this is a guy with a neck brace ..." sketch had me ROLLING!

Thought it was horrible. It was like a Family Guy episode.

Mr. Slave beating off at the Jonas Brothers concert was a highlight.

Unfortunately, South Park made a turn for the worst in one of its greatest episodes, Scott Tenorman Must Die. That episode marks the transition of Cartman from a genuinely naieve, albeit racist / misogynistic / etc. little boy to an outright "criminal mastermind". This led to the deepening of his voice, and the loss of innocense of the show. The new elaborate plots do not do the show any favors in my opinion...the comedy takes a large hit at the cost of "having a social message". No longer does cartman shreik out "EY!!"...or say a line as classic as pretty much anything in this clip: This Jonas Brothers episode wasn't bad...for a new-season episode. This season is guaranteed to be another flop (in my eyes) because the show has simply taken a completely different direction than seasons 1-3.

Good observation. However, I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the new, asshole Cartman up until the end of season 10, when he achieved his apotheosis in 'Tsst' and the 2-parters 'Cartoon Wars' and 'Go God Go'. While the series peaked much earlier, it was solid until a couple years ago. The two most recent seasons have been serious disappointments.

Okay, tonight has already cracked me up, 3 minutes in. "Would you mind too much if I kissed you?" "Not at all!"
"A woman being raped.... that's what this city has come to"
    LOL

You must be Eric Cartman because you're fat.
