New pair of shoes. Too much room above the toe area?

I just bought a new pair of Sutor Mantelass's. (10D.) My feet/heel don't move when I walk, so I figured they fit. However, now that I'm home, it feels as if there a little too much room above where my toes meet my foot, if that makes sense. Its where the crease of the shoe is when I walk. What does this mean?

I wouldn't want to go narrower in my foot area, as that fits fine.

I tried a pair of sutors this week as wasn't much impressed. I thought the toebox rather large as well.

what do you mean there is too much room? where does the shoe crease? if the length is right, you might want to try a narrower size, if available.

I just brought a pair of CJ Weymouth wholecuts from Plal and I have the same problem. The crease at the top of the shoes where my toes meet my feet is so deep that the top of the shoe caves in a bit.

I wear a 8D US and the CJ wholecuts are 7.5E UK. They are too long, however the width is fine. This is common with the C&J 337 last so I am told. I have put them up for sale on this forum in the hopes that I do not have to mail them back to PLal.

I think that I will try the 7E UK and see how they fit. Any one interested in purchasing a pair of nice shoes?

I think we're talking about the "height" of the toe box. For me, the length was good and width decent; however, the space from insole to top of shoe seemed a bit too spacious and I thought would lead to considerable creasing.

More importanly, I thought the shoe was sloppily finished, with edge dressing streaked along the upper.

Maybe I can try an insole, because these are absolutely beautiful shoes. It just sort of looks like there is extra material just below the laces (toward the toe) The width closer to my heel is fine. I dont think the length is off. I think it is the height of the toebox.

Is there an insole that would fix that, but not affect the width/height of the shoe posterior to that problem area?
