We have this. It is about 10000x than the Offi, but a similar style.

The wooden desk is nice. Simple, sleek, would work well in many different environments.

Wicked chairs also, I tend to like the kartell more, but those are wild. I'd go for the "don't smoke" one in an instant.

Ojala que tengas divertirse en vacaciones!

picked up a Maui dinner table from Kartel, it came in the small size that I needed and didn't have a 2.5 month wait time like the Eames.

I've always loved this lamp design. I'm not that fond of a lot of current-production Artemide pieces, but I think that this one is a classic. My brother has the larger hanging version in his stairwell, and it looks fantastic.

Also, that Cappellini desk that Matt posted above is great. From the same designers, I really like this dining table (preferably the round-top version), but then again, I'm a sucker for any modernist designs in marble (a la vintage Mangiarotti or more recently, the pieces that Marc Newson did for Gagosian):

Unfortunately, it costs more than $21k.

Swap meet/Antique Mall people are freaking crazy!

On Sunday I went to the Antique 4 level place on 25th btwn 6th & B'way and then also up the street to the "Garage" place.
Nothing but moth bally old ladies and old queens!
I did manage to find a carved wooden coffee table with an intarsia pastoral scene...I'll take a pic tomorrow. I am thinking that I may want to spray paint it white or gold or just sand the **** out of it because right now it matches the brown in the cowrug to the extent it blends in way too much.

Also fron Inhabit I got the 2 cloth "wall slats" of birch trees to cover the living room closet (I removed the doors) and they fit and look great...pics to come.

nice find on the coffee table - but do you think painting it gold might be a little too "Goldfinger"? Be sure to post pictures when able.

I should be taking delivery of 2 pillows from inhabit shortly, white with a picture of grass on them. They should look nice on the dark couch (which was delivered on Saturday, and it is awesome). Also, got the mini-bar set up last night.

Looks nice. I like the idea of beating/sanding it up.

Or you could give it the Moo/Rubinacci treatment. I'd chip in $5

If this table has marquetry deep sanding would ruin the top. It looks like it also has veneer top thus sanding that veneer might reveal ugly wood and glue underneath.
I would just clean it up with finishing sand paper before painting it.
Also if you r planning to use canned spray paint I would prepare the surface first by sealing it. Otherwise it will be uneven and every consequent layer of paint would bubble.

Probably just need to sand it a little then and start putting on the paint.

Oh so this is what you were carrying on the subway at 23rd St. I thought it was a stool. Didn't recognize you and randallr until we passed b/c I was trying to check out your table. The gay pride parade made it a heck of a time trying to get around that area.
