New SF member and not sure where to find the answer you're looking for? Have a quick question that doesn't belong in a current thread? Welcome, you found the right place.

This is a weekly thread where new users can ask quick questions and get a solid answer. If a thread already exists that would be more helpful, we will point you in the right direction. The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked.....so ask away!

Thoughts on mid/late 50-somethings wearing leather bomber jackets?

sketchers and new balance sneakers+ baggy jeans are considered the base for the typical "dad uniform" - basically what the average dad with no sense of fashion wears.
new balance kinda left that category about 5-10 years ago.

damn man, everything u link is super expensive lol

hey david if that one is too expensive heres one i found at nordstrom that is cheap and i thought looks nice, and its faux leather too so you don't have to kill a cow to wear it xD

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/topmanfaux-leather-bomber-jacket/4175200?origin=keywordsearch

otherwise if you want something a bit more expensive i thought this was nice too and it has the word ezekial in the brand which i thought u would like since ur name is the david star

http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/fade-away-fleece-jacket/4227417?origin=keywordsearch

i just can't imagine paying that much for clothes knowing that there are still homeless people in america right now.

Yes, what I posted could be considered expensive, but good leather isn't cheap. I really like the Valstar, but obvisouly if it's too much or if he could live without real leather, than there are better options.

Hello denim fans!

I know so very little and would really appreciate your help.

1- Does raw denim colour EVER stop leaking? I wear mainly white shirts, tucked in aswell and was wondering if they would leak on my shirt and they are quite expensive, I don`t know if a machine wash could remove these stains? It seems like a bad risk for me despite appreciating the fades and durability.

2- Does regular denim ever bleed? (levis etc)

3-Does raw denim like naked and famous (sanforized) ever shrink or stretch on the waist? Since I am a newbie I would only plan on buying sanforized for now, if it seems right. I own one pair now I might update with pics.

4-Does sanforized raw denim stretch? Does it shrink without wash after wash?

5-What about waist only? Turns out my N&F is a little too tight so that the button looks side ways which isn`t the best look but at least I wear 'em I guess. If the waist were to stretch I would be happy

6-I have a big butt and since the jeans are tight it puts emphasis on my butt and balls. Looks like a bubble area lol. Any tips, I think stretching would make it better. It has for my Levis

I got a Barbour jacket from someone who said they reproofed the jacket with a mix of parrafin and beeswax. Now the jacket seems extremely stiff compared to other Barbour jackets. What is the best way to remove the stiffness: by removing the wax, applying the Barbour thornproofing over the existing wax or just breaking it in?
