New SF member and not sure where to find the answer you're looking for? Have a quick question that doesn't belong in a current thread? Welcome, you found the right place.

This is a weekly thread where new users can ask quick questions and get a solid answer. If a thread already exists that would be more helpful, we will point you in the right direction. The only stupid question is the one that isn't asked.....so ask away!

Hey guys, I have a couple of brown leather shoes that are in really bad shape, it has a lot of scratches and the brown color has faded a lot in certain spots, I want to restore the shoes and make them look as good as new again.
Do I use shoe cream or shoe polish for the best results?

What is the feed back on wearing a "murse" / small messenger bags? I kinda like them and hate having bulging pockets so was considering one like this.

Welcome to the forum. I don't like that one, but don't mind bags like that at all.

Hi guys. I picked myself up some new wheels for my year 12 formal dinner but unfortunately after a wild night on the town, they didn't fair so well. Any idea how to restore them to their former glory?

Hi guys, I acquired a beautiful suit, it's very soft flannel, no padding in shoulders, super soft construction, but jacket is completely unlined (except for the sleeves). Now after wearing it for few times I realize it doesn't drape perfectly, sometime "catches" on my back etc. So the question is, is it possible for a tailor to put the lining on, and is it a major surgery?

    Thanks

    G.

Welcome to the forum, edwak. Do you even remember that wild night? Looks like you had quite the time. You'll never get those back to their original condition, but I think you can at least make them presentable. Try asking for advice in our shoe care thread here http://www.styleforum.net/t/228153/the-official-shoe-care-thread-tutorials-photos-etc

If I told you it is navy chalk stripe flannel...
Thanks. You are right. After all who am I to destroy the intention of the suit maker :)

Hello, I thrifted these cap toe derby's, and they have the name "Augusto Marchiori" in them. A google search turns up nothing, does anyone know anything about them?[IMG]
