This is a brand new Longines La Grande Classique Presence automatic watch. Quite possibly the world's thinnest automatic - approx 7mm thickness. Diameter is approx 34-35mm. Sapphire crystal.
This watch was a graduation gift, but I'm kind of attached to the watch I already have and it looks similar, so this one has got to go.
This watch is brand new with tags and shows absolutely no signs of wear- not on the strap, not on the case, not anywhere.
I know there are a lot of fakes of popular watches running around the internet. This watch has a serial number on the back, an 18mm croc leather Longines strap, and so on. But just to make *extra special sure,* I had a shop open the back of the case-- this one is DEFINITELY, DEFINITELY not a fake. Popping the back open showed a sparkling new L619.2 movement (based on the ETA 2892), confirmed not just by printing of the movement's model number, but also by the shape/position of the gears. It should be noted that popping of the case on Longines does not break any seals or in any way damage the watch-- these watches have a snap-fit back that seals with an o-ring; you could remove the back hundreds of times without an issue.
These watches sell for $750ish online from discount stores and more of course from a dealer- I'm asking way, way less. $400 shipped in the continental US. You would be hard-pressed to find a new (or even lightly used) watch with a 2892 movement for this price, let alone one with a classic design and this kind of thickness.
Thanks.
