Yes they do. My understanding is that they had some growing pains but that their customer service is generally quite good. Most people love their alienware systems.

And now that i've settled on a smaller screen size I might not get an alienware after all. It's too bad because the alienware notebooks are oh so sexy

Unfortunately their 14" model doesn't suit my needs as it uses integrated graphics

Right now the best thing i've seen is an Asus 8Js. It's based on Core 2 Duo, has a 14" screen, and geforce go 7700, which seems to be the best graphics card you can get in a sub-17" notebook. A card of that class is even more rare in a 14", so I think that's what I'll do. It also weighs in at only 4.5lbs.

Whatever you do get a Core 2 Duo processor (or whatever the hell they call the mobile version). I just got a Dell desktop with a Core 2 Duo and it's a rocket. I couldn't be happier.

Ya, Core 2 Duo is awesome. And quad cores are coming out in early 2007! The progress that has been made in such a short period of time after years of stagnation under the p4 architecture is nothing short of amazing. Vista and dx10 are just around the corner as well. I'll be replacing my media center pc with a core 2 as well. I'm rebuilding it to be completely silent.
