And luk-cha, I think you are right. This heel (pitched or cuban) is a true part of the historical bespoke shoe aesthetic. It looks unusual to us because it is so unlike what we are used to seeing on even the best rtw shoes--the past couple of decades have produced an increasingly heavy profile. But this looks fresh and interesting to me. It kind of grows on you if you give it a chance. The heel is the new waist!


thats right! if you go to a costume museium and check out some of the historical shoe you will find them mostly like this and proabaly a lot higher too i think the look is what you could call victorian - a tru dandy's shoe maybe!
