I just got back from the John Lobb NYC store and it's brimming with several stunning new models many of which are from the Prestiege line

There are two new Prestiege monk straps that are basically the next generation of the Jermyn II:

The Vale-sweeping single buckle, maybe the nicest RTW shoe that I've ever seen
The Chapel-sweeping double buckle and also a must have

Other standouts were:

Luffield-2 eyelet derby, Beckett-gorgeous new oxford and a Prestiege line 8 eyelet captoe boot that I can't remember the name of just now, but it will be mine.

All the prestiege models are priced at $1440 which includes the shoe trees.

The new Lobb catalog shouuld be printed in about a month's time and these new models should already be on the website.

Also, the Vintage 2006 (a captoe of some sort) will be released in the next 3 weeks.

Andrew, Sysdoc showed those two on AAAC. They're stunning. Do you like the Vale better than the Jermyn II?

Roger...I saw sysdoc's posts but there's nothing like seeing these babies in person.

As for which I prefer, there's no competition. I had thought the Jermyn II to be the most elegant RTW shoe that I'd ever seen and then I saw the the Vale on the 8000 last. It's absolutely perfect.

The Chapel ain't basdeither and it's available in a nutmeg colored suede that's outstanding.

The Vale is somewhat similar in design to the EG Andrew posted yesterday. Very sharp look.

I love the Chapel, and I prefer the Jermyn II to the Vale. It may be that I'm not a fan of the type of antiquing sysdoc did to the Vale.
