New Job, need suits...

Hello all. I just started a new job as a drug rep. I am looking to find some good, daily wear suits that will stand the test of time and fashion. I looked at some JAB SigGolds yesterday and found that I'm in a very strange conundrum.

I'm 6'4, 210 lbs with long arms. A 42 L fits me in body length, but the sleeves are too short, and the 42 XL is too long in the body but fits in the sleeves. Also, I've found that side vent suits tend to look like a cape on me because of my large toosh.

This has led me to believe that I will definitely need some tailoring.

I want to look good and would probably like to keep the price no more than $600, if possible.

Any suggestions as to where else to look, and what to look for? Should I go JAB, think more BB, or something else.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Tailoring is required for any clothing off the rack. Find the suit thats first fits in the shoulders, then the body. Sleeve altering is easy.

How is the quality of the JAB SG vs. BB's 1818s?

Brooks Brothers is going to be better. Right now they have some clearance online for about 450 per suit.

See above

Go to a BB store and try on their different cuts. Also, most of the major retail stores are having sales this month and next.

A lot of members here will laugh of the more economical brands because they wear made to measure and bespoke suits. The reality is 99.9 percent of the population cannot spend the type of coin it takes, so just find something that fits and that is of decent quality for suit one. Get it on deal.

I went through this when I first started out, PM me if you want.
