For an entry-level private banking job I need to get some new shoes. What is the best deal right now on black Oxfords? I would like to spend under $300.

I just missed the Amazon 30% off Allen Edmonds and the Brooks Brothers 40% off Peal & Co., but are there any other deals right now?

Spend a fifteen minutes a day over the couple of days checking out the B&S right here - I guarantee you'll find a better deal than from regular retailers. The other really good option is boxing day sales at Saks, Neiman, etc.

I believe the 30% off sale is still going on at Amazon. Or you can check BB the day after Christmas to see what the sale on shoes is.

Rumor is that pearl and co. shoes will be 25-30% off at BB the day after xmas if you can wait that long.

Your mileage may vary year to year, but those and black friday are usually the reliable ways to find discounts if you have your heart set on buying at B&M.

Wasn't raising any specific information - just a reliable rule of thumb.

Just picked up a pair of Peal perforated captoe Balmorals and the SA whom I have a good report with gave me the 25% Boxing-Day discount. These shoes are the most expensive item I own. Thanks for the advice.

If you aren't a fan of the bulky AE look, want something sleek and very "italian" and aren't a label whore like the most of us, there's usually a lot of magnannis at the Rack that are actually quite aesthetically pleasing to my eye.

Nice antiquing, but not overly audacious, blake stitched, and at $150-$199, not a bad deal.

I almost pulled the trigger on some nice chukkas that look al ot like EG's warwick boot, but ralized i have too many shooooz.
