2nd episode was strong...I think this show will cement itself on our regular watchlist

I dont mind Joshua Jackson, he's basically playing Pacey but it works for him and some actors have a range of >this< big which is fine by me (Julia Roberts for example has the same range, but is a huge star)

Purchased season 1 solely on the fact that Abrams was producing (huge lost fan) and just finished it about a week ago. I thought it was solid and am looking forward to season 2.

I watched the pilot so far. Thought the female lead's behavior was inconsistent and annoying, and mr. fat-face from dawson's creek was not as funny or as likeable as he was supposed to be.

Most of all, I felt like I was watching an episode of lost which makes me hate it. The stupid plot twist in the end combined with no questions answered and the crap in the end made feel annoyed, because it's the same garbage they did with lost. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, people shouldn't watch crap that's just being made up as they go.

I don't think the main chick is hot... and I was hooked onto this show but got bored in the middle of season 2, I think.

^Feel the same way. First season I was counting down till the next episode but now if I am not intrigued within the first 5 minutes I just get bored and pay no attention to it.

On the other hand, Lie To Me is quite good.

Even though Cal Lightman is just Dr. House with lies meets Jack Sparrow.

You should try the first two or three episodes. The pilot really wasn't so good. By episode three there is more character development, better stories, and better acting. My only gripe about the show is that at times it can be a bit formulaic. A little predictable, I guess. But it is still good. I have never seen Lost and never want to, so take that into account.

^^I've also only watched a couple episodes of lost, but my college roommate was a huge lost fan and I saw what the show did to him lolz. I'll try watching the next episode or two.

it's kind of a LOST/x-files hybrid. i like it and have watched since the beginning. sure, it gets a little formulaic and goofy at times, but it's a pretty solid show. the old man dad is pretty damn funny.

My first impression of it from the pilot was wrong, I just finished the second season. Strong show, gets better and better despite being formulaic and nonsensical at times. Dr. Bishop, have you ever seen anything like this before? Is the new [IMG]

John Noble really makes this show better than it is. I thought Peter's origin episode was superb. I'm a sucker for the Observers.

I am still, I think Fox is trying to kill it by moving it to friday. But it's still the best network drama and nothing else on the networks is even a close second.

And it's satisfying in a way Lost never quite was.

I still watch. Fox is once again trying to destroy the only decent Sci-Fi show, but I'm still into it. It's done amazingly well, changing from monster-of-the-week to these arc episodes. Hopefully it gets another season.

Come on, man. I'm the first to lament the loss of Firefly, Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Dollhouse but don't you think Fox deserves some credit by giving a lot of these SCI-FI shows more than a season to shine and find an audience? I'm just sick of hearing this tired argument that Fox actively tries to get rid of these shows out of any kind of spite. Bottom line, it's a business. That being said, the show is still as engaging and complex as it was back in its first episode.

This is the best show on TV right now. Hands down.

Fox will never make up for the way they treated Firefly. I don't understand it, they've got millions invested in these shows....then they air half the episodes, and out of order as well? At least they're better than the SyFy channel... cancelling Farscape, BSG, SGU, and failing to replace them with actual sci-fi. That channel has become a joke....

We got a (great) movie though -- not to mention a series of decent comic books. I mean, how many people can say that about their beloved canceled shows? Not a lot I'd assume. But I do agree with SyFy. When The Sopranos ended; HBO still had The Wire, True Blood, and Boardwalk Empire up their sleeve. When BSG ended..well, fuck.

This show sucked me back in after I decided to give it a second go-round, and there were some pretty good episodes near the end of season 2 / beginning of season 3. Kind of slowed down again after Fauxlivia. somewhat spoiler:
It's hilarious that I said I didn't think Olivia was attractive a while ago, because Faulivia is pretty hot. I kept thinking that if I was Peter I would not want regular Olivia at all, ahahhaha.
