Firsts off, thanks to everyone on commenting on the first part of this post but now that I have received the jacket, I'm not sure it's a keeper. What do you think about the fit? keep it or sell it?

<edit> I got it altered and wanted to update the thread with the before/after pics. Alterations were 150 which wasn't so hot but I am pretty happy with the fit - minus my bad posture in the pic

Model is "Base S 40R"

Incotexs chino lino's in a lighter shade of brown? Off white maybe.
Other options:
light grey wool/linen blend pants, white cotton jeans, light blue linen pants.

This is a trick question, right? That's probably one of the easier colors to coordinate.

Grey odd jackets are much harder to match because trousers are usually grey, which is why they are relatively rare. This jacket can worn with almost anything: grey trousers, tan or brown trousers, diferent colored cords, etc.

I would say the oppisite, this is a great coat and there are several options as to what you could wear with it. white of course, pretty much any shade of blue, ecru, other pastels such as green pink. You could even wear a darker green, orange or even shades of red depending on the time of year. as far as pants go I would do a brown or dark kakhi, possiable a black or charcoal I woul stay away from navy. matching shoes and cordinating ties or dress it down w/o tie or add a pocket square or something to puch up the look. I actually have a coat similar to this one and wear it a lot, my only problem is deciding what I want to wear with it since I have so many options to choose from.

This is not a color, it's an upholstery.

I would wear strong colors, no necessarily dark but vibrant, like aqua, fuchsia, big sky blue. Strong patterns too like hot pink on a royal blue, white cross hatching on a vibrant pink or blue. Take some of the blah out of the jacket's oatmeal like blah blahery...if you know what I mean?

It's fine, it's just blah. Blah is alright, you just need not to take into blah overdrive with pale, earthy tones. You can wear some medium grey summer worsteds, spectators or a rich brown suede slip on and a bubblegum pink shirt with a white cross hatching and make that jacket pop. The jacket itself is a canvas, not a spotlight. So you can go blah, or you can go blam!

Those are adequate but for summer and a sports coat I like a richer, spicier brown, more cinnamon than cocoa powder. You could wear some navy or denim colored linen pants with this jacket.
