I don't have a Murdoch deal but I have an idea. Let's ask Conne how much the Huffpoo pays.

Just the overall feel: the 3G hardware is pretty slow and laggy especially after the OS 3.x update. The 3GS is much faster, and the iPad is blazing.

Yeah, the 3GS is significantly faster than the 3G. I was surprised when I used my sister's 3GS just how much it is.

A4 chip in the iPad is supposed to be slightly faster than the 1GHz snapdragon in the HD2, Nexus 1, etc. I can't remember details but I saw a report that claimed about 10% so nothing extreme and likely not that noticeable in most scenarios.

It only confirms that its a prototype.

Looking at the aesthetics of that phone, it makes me wonder why companies feel the need to muck up great phones with their ****** designs. On the exceptionally executed industrial design of that phone alone you could have sold much shittier internals. This new design makes even the old iPhones look they were supposed to be kids toys, really slippery kids toys.

Interesting. I have a GS so I guess that's why I never noticed. I knew it was faster but wasn't aware how much so. I'll probably keep it a few years since it does everything I need it to do. I don't see any point to upgrading phones every year or two and find it hard to get excited about the new iphone.

I think this new Iphone is a lot better looking then the one out know. Looks like I might have to run over my iphone with a lawn mower again so I have a reason to get this one.

Yep. I notice that Safari crashes quite frequently on graphic-intense sites, esp. if it's doing something like loading, and then I decide to quit and switch to another window. Maps is killer slow, maps render very slowly and it takes longer than it used to to locate my position. It has gotten to the point where I can't use it on the fly, like if I'm coming up to an exit and I'm not sure if it's the right one. Other stuff just hangs for a few seconds. It's not the end of the world, but it's just kind of annoying.

I'm thinking that the whole iPhone "lost" thing is a viral marketing campaign to get the hype for the phone release going. Do you know how much security and precaution Apple took with the iPad pre-release. For software developers, they had to have a secure room with the iPad locked to a table...but this guy happened to have an unreleased phone with him in some random bar? I dont think so!
