1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I wonder if someone lost their job for leaving it behind or if it was a marketing ploy.

It's about time. I have the iPhone 3G, but not the 3GS, and the software is really starting to outstrip the hardware's capabilities. Time for new hardware.

The problem is that I'm kind of in the dark about industry standards and what I should expect. What kind of payment schedule are you on with Rupert Murdoch? If I could go back in there armed with a precedent, It might help me negotiate better terms.

I don't have a Murdoch deal but I have an idea. Let's ask Conne how much the Huffpoo pays.

    Where's that thread?

In Entertainment & Culture. I couldn't decide if to put it here or there but it fit better under "entertainment" IMO; moreso than fine living or home anyway.
