New here - hello!

Hi, my name's Tim, and I live in San Francisco. I have a great appreciation for fine, hand-made things of any sort, which is why I signed up here - to discuss how to find and know quality in clothing.

I don't have much occasion to wear the finer articles I own - I'm a software engineer, and mostly just wear jeans and t-shirts to work and around town (I ride my bicycle almost everywhere, and dressing nice makes that not quite as easy), but when I *do* dress up, I want it to be in something that is distinctly well-made and just what I want it to be.
