How 'bout ANGUS88 with the 88 as superscript (couldn't get the IB code to do it).

Why not just plain "Angus"? It carries no baggage, (i.e. isn't overtly anything in particular,) is personal, and the brand image can easily be manipulated by the design of the brand logo (which I think is more important to the brand name anyway.)  I suggest something non-gimmicky: a minimalist sans serifs font, in either lowercase (my preference) or uppercase letters, either black or grey on white (white on black is sort of overdone) or tonal. Another possible name might be "Angus Garment", which has a utilitarian feel.
'Angus Garment'. Is that clothing made for cows, or clothing made out of beef?

Angus in Australia? Maybe people overthere will associate it with Angus Young? The AC/DC guitarist?

I'm interested to know what type of clothing it is, it might be a guide to what kind of name you should be looking for.

It's just like thinking up band names. Feel free to use: Rocket 88, Built For Speed, Backlot, Pop N' Fresh, Dazzy, Crystal Meth, Rock and Load, Jet Boy.

With anything with "angus" in it, he might get in trouble with the AAA (American Angus Association). But I'm not a lawyer.
