Well first to introduce myself. I am a new to the fashion world and my wardrobe just consists of random items from nordstroms. I usually just wear dress shirts, 501 Levis, some boots, and whatever jacket fits the bill. I'm in the need of a new set of boots though and have been looking at new brands. I'm considering some John Varvatos Motorcycle boots but am not sure about the quality. Would anyone mind helping me out here in terms of referring me to a good brand that will last and have style, a brand that I will be able to shop for whenever I feel like I want new boots. Maybe a brand that's in the league of making custom boots. I thank you all for your time.

Hi, welcome to the forum. You may get a bit more luck with your question in the streetwear and denim forum and there's plenty of information on here if you search for "boots".

That said, I'm a huge fan of all kinds of boots, some brands I own and would suggest you consider depending on budget/requirement:

RM Williams
Trickers
John Lobb
Crockett and Jones
Filson (I have their Highlander model and they are fantastic for winter casual).

There are tons of other options, good luck!

All the boots mentioned above are solid. There are also some quality Paul Smith boots you can get on sale if you hunt.

Also, I don't own any myself, but I've seen Frye in stores at a much lower price point and some of their stuff looks pretty decent if the others mentioned are a bit steep for you. Anybody have any experience. Although you did ask for a brand that makes custom, so maybe money is no object.

I really like all the brands everyone linked all of them were exactly what I was looking for. So I thank you for your time. The boots that I fell in love with though were these:

I mean I saw a picture of the toe cap on this eBay link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/%A3750-BRAND-N...01710003r37594

I just have to have them. Although Acidic boys boots seem like they fit the bill a bit more. It seems like they would stand the test of time and would be good for daily use. Can the same be expected of the Ludlows? Also quick question whats the price I'm going to have to fork out for these puppies? Money is an object at times, but when it comes to boots there's no point in a budget. You get bad quality boots and you have to get new ones right away. I learned that the hard way

Sorry for the slow replies the professors have been riding me, but I thank you all for giving a good basis on where to actually base my future purchases from now on.
