I didn't want to further hijack the R&B thread...

The tag on the inside of my new 882s say "made in the USA" of domestic and imported materials. I'll take that, especially since they only cost $75. I hate that they've moved much of their production overseas, but I suggest that if you're like me, you'll continue to buy the ones made stateside and make sure you contact NB and let them know you'll continue to support them as long as they make shoes in the USA

I have a pair of NBs that are a low number like 6xx, and they are made in the US. I bought them a couple of years ago, and I think they were deadstock...

I thought only their high-end shoes were US-made. Maybe they've gone to hybrid manufacturing recently.

In any case, Mrs. T loves NB, but they're not for me.

991/992, 587 and 2001 models are all USA made. The rest toxic glue plastic Chinese made. I won't wear Newbies unless they are the USA model. In fact, I am wearing a pair of 2001's right now. List 200 bones, bought them at Foot Locker for - wait for it, wait for it - 13 dollars w/tax and coupon.

How does it feel to be stealing the food from the table of a child of a US worker?

I keed...I keed...There are some 2001s going on fleabay for about $60-70 right now. If I didn't already have a pair, I would've bought one.

the 999's and 1300 define new balance for me. My first pair of NB's were american made 999's which they've since discontinued. the 1300s are kind of discontinued, but they just reissued them a few years ago. They're also american made. I mean, as far as i'm concerned, NB is an american company. Meaning, if I ever buy another pair of NB's, it'll be the boston made ones, not the UK/China made ones, even though the UK ones are just as good or even better than the US made ones. just my 2cents

They're very big on their stuff being made in the US, but their material is chinese, and the federal trade commission has questioned their "made in America" status.
