Oops again, incorrect terminology. It's not a Chesterfield, but its problem styling sometimes is shared by Chesterfields, the fly-front with minimal design details. A stronger vertical line, such as a row of buttons or a visible zipper, would diminish the tubular/boxy shape. Breast pockets also would help.
