This is a pair of brand new Alden Shell Cordovan Longwings.
The iconic American "Gunboats" - made in the U.S.
I am selling this pair because I need to go up half a size. So I am trying to cut my losses, in order to repurchase them in the right size.
The shoes have only been worn when I tried them on in the store, aswell as once when I came home. In both cases it was on a carpet, so there is no sign of wear on the soles.
The Longwings are made on Alden's "Barrie" last, which run large in the size.
US size is 9 C/E - which means that they have a medium width heel (C), and a wider forefoot (E).
The measurements are:
Length (Heel to toe): 31,7 CM / 12,5 inches
Width (widest part of the forefoot): 11,4 CM / 4,5 inches.
The original store price was 6999,- Danish Kroner - which is equal to £ 667,- / € 938,- / $ 1043,-
The price I am asking for is £ 473,- / € 671,- / $ 740,-
The usual retail price on various online stores within the E.U. is about £ 595,- / € 838,- / $ 924,-
Remember - these are still brand new!
