Do you think they hired someone to do this, or is it more likely just one of the members of the band shilling for themselves?

By God, that would be truly sad.

They have a bananarama forum, but you have to register to join. Something tells me that J might get really jealous if I joined another forum.....

Does anyone else feel oddly creeped out when they come across online relics of recent pop culture that clearly pre-date the Internet?

I give you, the A-Team Shrine....

The GoGos are playing in LA this august iirc

Saw Flock of Seagulls last year at a big festival concert...unlistenable.

Bananarama....I used to have a big crush on the brunette (forget her name, maybe it was Sarah something). Their first album "Deep Sea Skivin'" was really great, back when they were mod-ettes...their version of The Velvelettes "He Was Really Saying Something" was good as well as their first hit "Shy Boy". I didnt even mind them when they went dancey pop, like Cruel Summer & Robert DeNiro's Waiting etc

I had a thing for Keren Woodward myself. Turns out she married Andrew Ridgeley of all people. Do old school pop acts become even more powerful if they marry each other? At any rate, as a child of the 1980s I used to like Bananarama a lot...

The born again Christian lesbian? Then I have good news for you. She released an album not too long ago.
