Just the other day I was talking to a younger colleague who had no idea what I was talking about when I made reference to Les Nesman's imaginary office on "WKRP in Cincinnati". These moments become more and more frequent. At lunch a few weeks ago, one of my colleagues mentioned that he had met Meatloaf while gathering petition signatures for a neighborhood issue. One of our, um, less experienced colleagues asked "Who's Meatloaf"?
[Sigh], the high culture that's being lost . . .
