The absolute worst customer service in the industry. Most US carriers are less than great, but a recent experience with United has broken the camel's back. A while ago, I had some issues with a seat on a United flight and received a certificate to use on future travel. Unfortunately, due to illness, I was unable to use it. So, I contacted United, spoke to a supervisor and was told they would reissue the certificate. Great right? Wrong! No email, snail mail, nada, zippo. I called them today and after waiting the appropriate long time on hold, they said they could not find any evidence of the promised certificate and that there was nothing they could do. Well, I told them there was something I could do. Tell everyone, who will listen, how crappy United's customer care is and to never fly United again, unless absolutely necessary. There you have it. May their karma run over their dogma. Feel free to continue stories of United's less than stellar service, maybe, don't bet the ranch, something will come of it. I feel better already!
