Definitely not fairly priced, that's for sure!

I think these fall into the same category as Channel surfboards and Gucci guitars. Better to buy quality than the logo when companies go beyond their core strengths.

I hope it's obvious to all of you that I'm not asking if these are 'worth it' from a performance standpoint. We are both fanatical tennis players. We 'get it', that 20 yr old balls from Neiman's aren't likely to bounce as consistently or last as long as some 3 bucks a can Wilsons from the pro-shop.

I'm asking from the perspective of a collector. She's a tennis player and likes Neiman Marcus, simple as that. Provided everything's legit, I think that a rare antique that touches upon two of your interests at once (especially if you share those interests with your SO) is a nice gift.

Wouldn't be the strangest thing I've seen from them. If you've going for the novelty value..who cares if they're legit?

I only care because I want to know if I can get them for less or if they're fake.

...Well, my gut feeling tells me that these are the sort of thing they pasted their name to as kitschy gifts one year and then moved on. You know, the sort of thing they sell to people who have everything who are trying to buy for people who also have everything.

Probably legit, for what they are. I mean, who would counterfeit a tennis ball???

And, unless you happen into an estate sale in Houston or Dallas (or e-bay), you probably won't find them anywhere for less.
