I have two black tie weddings in the next few months and I'm ooking to buy a tux.
Has anyone seen any decently priced options around town (NYC)
Should I take a look in C21? Daffys?

I'd like to stay below $500 as I wont get much use out of it.

thanks in advance for any help.

Filene's Basement usually has some low priced DJ's laying around. I've seen some at Loehmann's, as well.

Rentals are about $100 each time. So that'd be $200 right there. If he can spend around $300 or more, look better, and have use for it later I'd say it's a good investment.

I agree with Jovan. Think you might go to one or two more weddings or other formal events in, say, the next five years? If so, the economics favor buying a tux. Plus it's less of a hassle, you get to pick one you really like and tailor it to fit you, it will undoubtedly be nicer and more comfortable than the rental, etc.
