can't help with tie question sorry.

Temporary hijack...

But I notice people post pictures of films on here regularly. How do you do this? I doubt it is google images since you guys need specific reference. Is there some website of the movie you use?

That image is from when they were shooting the movie so in that case, it was found on google, only other recommendation would be finding the video, printscreening the party you want and uploading it on to photobucket

As far as the tie being Hermes, That's what I thought at first since the rest of his ties are Hermes, but I couldnt seem to find it

At least this one has some hope of being answered, since there is quite a lot of information available on the wardrobe of this particular film.

Still, that tie is probably the ugliest one in the whole movie...

I watched this movie for the first time last night and was extremely dissapointed. Sartorially and cinematically. Although Gecko's suit when he first gets discovered by Jacob in the UK is pretty tight.

I thought the movie was so-so in terms of overall quality; I wanted more GG myself, as I am sure most everyone did, and I thought the linking of him to Bretton James was kind of weak. It would have been more Gekko if he just masterminded him being destroyed because he was bitter that James was sitting on his former throne as the Wall Street "Rock Star" (the film called James that at one point).Sartorially, I thought some of the stuff was a hit and others a miss, much like the first movie. Some of the stuff will be dated in a generation, again, much like the first movie. To me the jackpot items were pretty much all of the Gekko items in London, and the way they presented him going about purchasing them. He did a total 180 the second he went from above average to super-rich and the movie did a good job of showing that he knew how to blend into the world he was occupying at the given time. London, even in today's relaxed world seems a more formal place for business, especially in the billionaire bracket that GG shot back to, where as NYC hedge fund managers wear cargo shorts to work. I also loved the midnight DB dinner jacket that Brolin was wearing, but the collar choices for his regular suits sucked.
