Greetings,
Been on this board for a while and have learned quite a bit. I thank the members of SF for this.
I am one who is on a beer budget with champagne taste, but have decided to bite the bullet and buy a few pairs of quality denim. However, the problem that i have is that i need something in more of a relaxed, not slim/tight, that so many here seem to love. All the pairs of nudie, 45rpm, 5ep, rag&bone, etc seem to be slim fitted and far to fitted for me.
Can anyone out there suggest a great, relaxed fitting (i don't have a better term than this) [not loose/baggy, just a little more room in the legs, not boot cut] jean that has a dark colour, either single wash/raw denim?
Lastly, anyone in Northern CA have any idea where I can go any try a pair on before buying? I haven't been able to locate any of the above mentioned brands (admittedly I haven't look to much in SF [which, I have a feeling, is where I need to go]).

Much obliged,
Patrick

The Nudie Baggy Bjorn's look far too loose. APC Rescue's seem to git the bill. Any other votes for something like the AP Rescue's?

PC Rescues are awesome awesome jeans. A nice straight cut, but fairly roomy jean that's very comfortable. You may also want to look at the Uniqlo greenlines if you can find them in the US, as they are a similar cut, as are the 5EP low down bootcuts.

You might still want to size down the rescues 1 or 2 as i've seen some pictures of people on superfuture with rescues and they look like big roca baggy jeans. Plus, you don't want them to fall off your ass, just not be tight around the legs. I remember seeing someone wearing acne raw or one wash jeans that looked pretty relaxed. Definitely not slim.

Maybe my perspective is skewed, but Nudie BBs ain't THAT baggy. The name kind of throws you as the whole line is a little slimmer-than-average.

Here are some Bjorns on me, size 31 - and keep in mind, I wear 30.

Yeah, I sized down two in the rescues for a nice comfortable fit. In contrast, I have NS that I sized down two in and they are fairly slim.

Thanks! Actually, I now recall that I had to take 'em in to a tailor in Brazil to take in the waist a little. But if I had bought my true size(30), would'nt have been an issue.

A year. Two washes, both in the last 3 months. A little sandpaper, because baggy jeans don't whisker as much naturally. Oh, and I went beach running/fighting/swimming in 'em.

I'm a relaxed fit kinda guy too. I have the APC Rescue's (got them from Denim Bar) and they fit really well. Recently received a pair of Studio D'Artisans SD-101 (got them from blueingreensoho.com - had to phone the order in since they do not have them on their website) and they have a similar fit as well.... one thing with the Studio's is that the color comes off alot more easily than the APC's, and they are tons more stiffer. Out of the package they felt like cardboard lol

But I'm pleased with the fit of both and think that you would like them as well since you want relaxed but not baggy.
