Need some guidance - Summer Slacks

Okay, so Summer is almost upon us and where I live it gets really hot...over 110 hot. I'm looking around for some dress slacks and I'm not sure what I need to look for. Also, I'm in the process of re-tooling my wardrobe at a fairly slow and deliberate pace. I have a limited budget and am not opposed to getting pre-owned gear. So I'm most likely looking at <$50 per pair.

I see a lot of new stuff on eBay in my size but most of it is polyester or a poly blend. Is this stuff even worth a look? My immediate reaction is that it doesn't last very long, but maybe they've had some quality/durability. Anyway, thanks in advance for the help.

I'd avoid the poly stuff. Manmade fabrics have come a long way, but natural is still best. Typically the poly is being used because it's cheap.

How dressy do you need? Linen is cool but wrinkly. Cotton can be nice, but it's casual and creases. Lightweight wool's an option.

I don't care for silk, as it's high maintenance and easily spotted.

Well, as I work at a car dealership, I don't have to wear a suit. I can wear polos or wear a dress shirt and tie (at noon we get to pull the tie off if we like). So I'm thinking lightweight wool would be the best overall value for quality and comfort. Although linen does sound very good at 100+ degrees regularly.

Any brands I should gravitate towards?
