Need some advice on shoe color.

Im new to the forum, and relatively new to the world of suits for that matter being a recent college graduate, but I'll cut to the chase. I just bought a charcoal suit (dark) and am wanting a pair of shoes to go with it. I really like the look of the AE Strands, but I am lost on the color. My instincts say to just play it safe and go with the black, but it just seems kind of boring and almost too formal. Should I try my chances with the brown burnished (http://www.allenedmonds.com/aeonline/producti_SF6105_1_40000000001_-1)? The suit will mainly be worn for job interviews, wedding and the like. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Strands look great in walnut but probably won't be the best choice for job interviews. Some may disagree because they are brogues but I think the darker brown is a pretty safe bet for what you want them for.

when in doubt proceed with the formal option.

in your case - go with park avenues: black or dark brown.
