Never underestimate the power of sandals.
I wear a pair of ECCO flip-flop sandals in my home (no thong and no back). They're easy to slip on & off, and have rubber soles. No straps to fasten and I never slip in them. Perfect for hardwood flooring. They've proven more practical than any moccasin type slipper I've ever used. Yes, I wear them with socks.
