generally, people are less likely to jump in and provide answers to someone who starts 2 threads as his first 2 posts without spending some time looking for the answer on previous threads. maybe check the WAYWN thread to see some similar ensembles that may give you an idea of what to wear and get you thinking outside the box. also, buying a pair of shoes to complete a single "outfit" isn't the smartest way to approach this, and more of a feminine approach to dress. get something like a nice simple (no overly pointy/square/curly toes) pair of black leather soled oxfords that can go back and forth from business to casual. the point is, get a pair of shoes that can do alot and look good, and diversify with your shirts and pants at this point. you'll be happier 6 months down the road. sorry if any of this sounded snarky instead of informative, it wasn't meant to be.

Go to allen edmonds website and look up the chili lambert. It can do double duty as a formal and smart casual shoe.

Check eBay then, you can get good shoes pretty cheaply, my Allen Edmonds cost me £17, and I also have two pairs of C&J that cost me £25 and £45.

If you really want to buy some crap like Aldo I think you will have to do it without the blessing of this forum

completely understand. i just graduated 3 years ago so i've been there. i bought these on a business trip after i had to have some emergency work done on another pair of shoes and needed something quick and relatively cheap. if you keep an eye on them, especially in stores, you can find them under $100. i've had them over a year and theyve held up well enough and felt comfortable enough to make their way into my weekly rotation. http://bananarepublic.gap.com/browse...scid=547912002 fyi - BR isnt held in high regard here but ive had good experiences with most of their stuff. and they should outlast whatever you find at aldo both in durability and style significantly.
