Hi,

If this is the wrong forum please let me know.

I'm looking for a backpack, to be used extensively from carrying things daily, carrying gym clothes and office stuff, but also to be used on the weekends for 6-8 hour hikes maybe once a month. Also I would use it as a daypack while traveling for a few months once a year.

Obviously I need something -

-Well-made, high quality
-It does not need to hold more than a day's worth of stuff as I would have a separate larger pack.
-I would like one about 22-30 liters or so, black in color.
-Good features like hip belt and back mesh.
-Budget $50-$200

I ordered one but it did not have back mesh and a hip belt, both things that are very important when hiking or traveling as the backpack can get soaked with sweat and it's WAY more comfortable to use a hip belt for long periods. So a lot of handy features is nice.

After I ordered one that didn't work I tried some on at the sporting goods store, and the North Face Recon http://www.thenorthface.com/catalog/sc-gear/recon_3.html

Seems perfect, and it also has a very convenient open front sleeve. I want to get the best quality thing as I want to use extensively for several years for many different functions, and especially during traveling and hiking I don't want it to be lacking in features or to break/jam as is it is very inconvenient if you're in those situations.

Any other recommendations before I buy the north face pack?

Thanks
