I am looking to buy a new pair of jeans and need some help. In the past I have worn Levi 550 jeans (relaxed fit) but I have to try on multiple pairs of the same size to find one that fit and even then I'm not sure if they fit correctly. One of my issues is I have big thighs. Typically I wear 34 waist and 34 length but most jeans in that size are too tight in the thighs. Anyway, I am looking for suggestions on brands to try. I want to keep cost to a minimum (trying to slowly redo wardrobe on a limited budget and working on a fitness program). I am also not opposed to having these jeans tailored. Thanks!

Try stretch denim. There are several companies that make stretch selvedge denim jeans. I like the brand Kato myself but they are expensive.

How do you prefer trousers to be finished?

  • Plain hem

  • Cuffed (1.5 inches or less)

  • Cuffed (more than 1.5 inches)

  • No preference, as long as the proportions work
