need help with shirt collar sizes

How much room should a new shirt collar have be before it is laundered? For instance, I have a new 15.5 Kiton dress shirt, and a 15 Borrelli shirt, and the Borrelli collar is noticeably larger than the Kiton. How much shrinkage should I allow for? There is nothing I hate more than having a large gap showing.
