Need help with a suit for a sorority formal!

You'll be fine in a suit. Throw in a PS and a textured tie to drive the ladies wild. Play on, playa.

The dress really depends on the sorority and the event. I have been to sorostitute formals that have been black tie, and I have been to some that have been suit or coat and tie. Ask your date if it is a semi-formal or a formal. This is really semi-formal season still, so I think that a suit would be ideal. I would seriously recommend not wearing black tie. I did that to my first formal, and regretted it. To be honest though, no matter what you wear, someone is going to be looking worse.

And in re: the post above, switch out a textured tie for one with animal prints, and you are good to go. Lets be honest here.
