1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I know I will probably get flamed for this as I know this designer is not to everybodys taste, but I'm trying to track down a pair of Rare-one-of-a-Kind Von Dutch Jeans ($400-$800) that were designed exclusively by the Ex Von Dutch head designer Christian Audigier (now with Ed Hardy) and it seems only a limited number of pairs of these jeans were made available, mainly to buyers in the LA area. I'm going to be in Los Angeles soon and one of the main reasons of me being there is trying to track down a pair of these unique Von Dutch jeans.

These jeans in particular have 2 huge patches placed down the front of both thighs, down one leg was a huge Von Dutch, Compton California MC Motorcycle patch with a separate logo I believe was underneath the Motorcycle patch and down the other leg was another huge patch which included 4 separate patches, one being the Von Dutch eyeball patch. These patchs were sewn onto separate pieces of denim and then sewn onto the main jeans. Both back pockets were also customised. They were genuingly rare jeans, that were heavily priced.

I am at a big disadvantage in trying to locate these jeans as I don't have the pictures that were placed on eBay in the two auctions I saw them on. Both sellers lived in the West Hollywood area of the city and now I am kicking myself for not copying/saving the pictures as this would have made it a lot easier for me to track down a pair.

Is there anyone living in the California area that may have seen a pair in a store or even better actually own a pair for themselves. I would be willing to give you a $1000 for them if they are the specific pair I want. Have you ever come across a pair or know someone that has, from the description I have placed above???...

Please Reply, Appreciate It... I need all the help I can get.

This might be of absolutely no use to you, but if the auctions ended within a couple of months you can go to advanced search options and click on completed items only to find those pictures.

After this and that hideous pair of DSquared leather pants you asked about last week... I'm now beginning to understand clearly the saying "more money than sense."

In any case, as TrojanGarb recommended, calling the boutique is an excellent way to start. At the very least, they can provide you with article numbers, season numbers, distribution (possibly), etc... all of which will ease your search for these pants.

As for posting here... members here tend to shy away from the garish, so I don't think you'll have too much luck finding them around here.

You don't need to insult the guy for having different taste.

Very true. I guess I was just feeling a little surly this morning, so my apologies. [IMG]

I'm not saying you shouldn't go looking for these jeans but Have you thought about this from any other point of view than "I am in love with these jeans?" For $1000 dollars, you can buy SEVERAL pairs of well-crafted jeans and Von Dutch jeans in my opinion, are not well-crafted and are made with cheapish denim. The only it has going for it is the style which is pretty much only appropriate in LA.

Good luck with your search and THINK HARD before throwing down so much money.
