Need help deciding on shoes

I recently found two pairs of similar style shoes at The Rack and need some help deciding which one to purchase. One is a Bruno Magli for $169 and the other is a To Boot NY for $139. I don't have any experience with either one but can appreciate the leather and quality of both. My only complaint is the To Boot NY has a rubber sole in the toe area.

I am hoping to draw on the knowledge of the forum members to see which one would be the better and wiser purchase.

Both would be pretty poorly made and not worth that price. Post some pictures of shoes you find attractive and maybe we can find you something.

Pics? I'm not a fan of either brand.

Below is a link to the Bruno Maglis that I am thinking of purchasing. Like I mentioned, they are $169 at a Nordstrom Rack in SoCal. This is truly a last minute purchase as I misplaced my Johnston & Murphy laceups while traveling in LA. Although the J&M shoes were not that great, they served me well. I would prefer not to spend too much and would say that $200 would be my budget. I do understand that if I want quality, I might have to spend some coin and I am okay if I go slightly over budget. I have looked through the shoe pr0n thread briefly and have taken note of some other designers. However, I haven't researched where in my area (San Francisco) to try these designers on before purchasing. Thanks for any insight you can provide me. http://stores.channeladvisor.com/gra...20Dark%20Brown

If that's the style you're looking for, get these instead.

Stick around a bit. You'll figure it out. My wife says I'm like a whole new man. (in bed)

Hahaha...I like those Allen Edmonds. Thanks for the recommendation.
