Hello

I have been struggling with the decision whether to get a MTM suit (possibly 2). I am 6'3, 185 pounds, slim build, but my arms are a bit long.

In the past I have been able to find some good OTR suits but always in the typical colors (dark navy, pinstripe etc...) I want to purchase a bold royal navy 2 button (and glen plaid for possible second suit) in a more british style cut, by budget is about $1,000. I was thinking of going to either Mr. Ned or LS in NYC. Which do you think is better for my situation?

All other things being equal if you can afford the MTM it will offer a better fit and probably be your best choice.

Also, I am interested in a more european slim style, but I hear that Mr. Ned, LS and English American lean toward more of the boxy sort. Any other recommendations for MTM in a more slim style?

Of those three, Mr. Ned will get you closest to where you want to go and is a bit more than simple MTM. $1000 is a bit tough if you want to have very specific fabric options. Another consideration is to look at something like RL Black Label, more than $1K retail, but like all things RL can be found discounted.

Well, I only want a light navy blue suit. Is the house fabrics for Mr. Ned suitable enough?

I agree, and it's hard to find a nice suit in the style I want. Now I am deciding between going to Mr. Ned in NYC or Elio hear in Maryland, my fear is having to fight Elio for a more slim fitting suit.
