    Don't wear a red tie.

With a white shirt, anything in the silver/grey or light blue range would work fine. With a light blue shirt, silver/grey, green. pink, burgundy, lavender (I should note that many on here dislike lavender with light blue; I am not one of them), yellow are all good choices.

Black shoes are the more conservative choice but brown shoes will be just fine in almost any environment.

Don't go with silk pocket square and silk tie. If the tie is silk, go with linen or cotton pocket square, and vice versa. Try matching it with the shirt for the start. Then you can experiment and match it with tie.
Start with black shoes and then switch to brown. For business purposes keep it simple.
As I said red tie can look too aggressive. But try it out.
It is OK to play it safe until you become comfortable wearing suits. With time you will be more comfortable and you can play around. This suit looks good and when you add some color to it it will be a killer combination.

Not awful; the collar is too small (regardless of the knot) and the knot is too big (regardless of the collar).

I like it better with the square.

My standard answer to anyone asking for advise on what tie to pair with a suit is: solid Burgundy. It works with just about everything.

Pocket square looks good, sufficient cuff showing. Personally I think the last two ties are fine, providing you're not power dressing.

Could think about altering the cuffs to fit cufflinks.

I personally do not like cufflinks. What's power dressing? Sorry...I am a newbie.

shirt can be fixed...by wearing a not so slim fitting shirt. As for the knot, what would you recommend? I really need to find the right tie for this suit.

The issue is more about the collar points...they should be safely under your lapels. As far as the knot goes...it's hard to tell what you've got there, but try a half-windsor (and if that is a hw, practice it) should you go with a spread collar) or a four in hand otherwise.

I guess the important question is does the tie go with the suit? If not, what colours should I get?

    +1. Or purple.

    I'd do brown shoes though.
