I recently ordered a suit from Brooks Brothers Made-To-Measure event but the pants measurements for the rise was incorrectly done. I wanted a rise of 11 inches but the pants have a rise of 12 inches.
The in-house tayler says that she can alter the rise down to 11 inches without any issues. I haven't heard of altering the rise of a pants as a common part of alterations. The suit was expensive purchase.
My question: is it a common alteration to tayler a pants' rise without ruining the overall style of the pants or should I request that a new pair of pants be ordered with the correct rise measurement to begin with (which Brooks Brothers will reluctantly do)
Thank you, I look forward to your advice.
