Hi guys (and ladies if there any signed up!) I bought a pair of indigo jeans that are really dark (almost black, but not quite). Would any of the following work: Blue Blazer Waist coat/vest (if so, what colour?) Or any other suggestions I spent alot of money on them, and when I wear it with a black blazer, people think I'm wearing dress pants because of the jeans' dark colour. Edit: Here is a link to a similar coloured jean http://sales.buysmrt.com/7+For+All+M...kinny+Leg+Jean

I can see how this would be a conflict. Jeans that dark are less versatile, but can be pulled of with a Navy Blazer when done correctly. Because your already wearing jeans (which already feed a casual setting), try not buttoning up your blazer for it won't blend with the dye of your jeans. As far as Waistcoats, I think a lighter color to contrast it's dark color like brown would be the best for your situation. Hope this helped Bro..!

a blue blazer would work, but i think a charcoal or light grey sportcoat would look best. something patterned like herringbone would look best in my opinion.

Yes, you can wear a navy blazer with dark pants too (dark blue jeans or even dark grey flannels), it's up to you to decide if you like and feel comfortable with the outfit.

If you prefer to create some contrast, a grey herringbone or even houndstooth sport coat would be a good choice too.
You can also combine your jeans with a grey vest. Both are nice combinations.

Err, that is why you would choose a dark wash - so it can look more formal. Unless you have some aversion to owning more than one pair of jeans you should have a range of colors/washes IMO.

I think that if you go for a blazer with gold or silver buttons you will create a little bit of contrast and the pants won't look so dark.
The vest is an excellent idea also. Beje, a lighter blue, or if you're a little bit edgier try a pattern, some plaid maybe. Combine it with a solid shirt, a nice white oxford for a sportier look and the dress pants problem will go away...
If you can't get any of this to work, just to go a dry cleaners and have them lightened a little bit. Don't try it at home. I've done it washing some dark jeans in hot water and result was disastrous.
