1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

gardener also makes a levi's bootleg with UeKi's on the tab (font accents the U and the K to look like an L and a v respectively). i thought only chinese bootleggers did that kind of stuff! haha.

Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, I would assume Levis is just totally beside themselves concerning the quality of Japan's knockoffs. I'm sure if the company were in dire straits, they'd be having a hissy fit.

On another note, our man in Japan is gonna snag me a d'artisan wallet. I can already feel it in my back pocket! Will post pics soon as I get it. Well, I'll use it for a few hours before I break out the camera [IMG]

They aggressively protect their branding-----------linked is an article from 2003. The most salient part:
I have a notion that Sugarcane is next on the chopping block.

god. that's insane that they have the tab trademarked and are being total assholes about people putting a tab on their jeans. they should put more time into their denim and not their lawsuits.
