Are there any significant differences between UK and Japanese Uniqlo jeans?

J., what is the model/# of those jeans? Would you mind giving some info on them? I may be interested in a pair.
I'll check them when I get home. They are 50% linen/ 50% cotton and dark indigo rinsed [edit- wrong, see below -j.]. I picked up a couple other pairs for people a few days later and those ones had some light fading/whiskering.

BTW, they are not a twill weave, which I'm sure accounts for some of the breathability and also the non-stretchiness of the fabric. The inside of the fabric looks just like the outside.

Both the dark indigo & light whiskering sound good. How does the size run on those? Thanks, appreciate it!

I'd like to say that they run small, but it may just be me, as I don't remember them being this tight when I bought them...[IMG]

I think they did shrink after a wash and don't stretch back out very well. They have a pretty low rise. I will measure when I get home.

Coldrice, do you know what they are talking about with regards to the uniqlo cotton/linen 50/50 jeans? If you do and think you could get them, I would be interested in a pair for sure.

do you have a model number?

    there's these:
    http://www.uniqlo.com/L4/getitem.asp...emMngCD=u52061

    70% cotton 30% hemp

    and these:
    http://www.uniqlo.com/L4/getitem.asp...emMngCD=u52057

    55% cotton 45% hemp

Ok, I was mistaken this whole time - these are 70/30 cotton/hemp jeans, if that's how that symbol is translated. It's been a year since I looked at the tag, and I've never had someone translate the symbol, just assumed linen by the feel, so sorry about that.

    The tag says 321-018086(52-03) / [symbols] 32inch(81cm) / symbol 70% / symbol 30%.

If I stretch the waistband so the front and back are together, it measures 16.5" across the outside. Front rise to center crotch 4-way-stop is 11", rear rise to center crotch stop is 16.5". Inseam is 33.5", across the hems is 8.25".

Mine are nowhere near as faded as the 70/30 pair on the site, though.

    Edit: add pics:

So much for all those pledges of 6 months with no jeans [IMG]

Does it still count if I buy them now but don't wear them for 6 months? :p

Currency converter says that the website listed price in USD is about 26. Is this correct, coldrice? What would you ask for dragging them back to the US and sending them by post?

The dark pair of Uniqlo I got via J is my fave pair of jeans right now.

11/16.5" rise is low? Wha? coldrice: what's the total price (retail + tax + shipping + handling + whatever), roughly?

please send your requests to: xcoldricex @ comcast.net thanks! i only post items, i'm not leaving japan for another 2.5 months and i will be bringing back enough stuff as it is (haha). Another thing to keep in mind is that using my credit card I don't get the same "going exchange rate". Quoted prices may fluctuate slightly depending on the current exchange rate. Also it's a few bucks cheaper for US customers, since I get slapped with a "cross-border" paypal fee for customers outside of the US. All that said, my prices are still fair!

Hmm, those you linked to look a bit different than the pictures that J posted... if you think you can get the same ones that J has, I'll be down, but the pairs on the website don't look that appealing to me.

BTW, thanks a lot for offering this service, really nice guy [IMG]
