again, please email all price requests (with links if applicable) to xcoldricex @ comcast.net , thank you. prices fluctuate slightly because the yen is a bit unstable these days and has been dropping (unfortunately) you can see the graph that makes me cry everytime i look at it: http://www.x-rates.com/d/JPY/USD/graph120.html i'm also using a foreign credit card so i'm getting an exchange rate lower than the "going" exchange rate. but i still get people jeans at good prices and at lower prices than business that do this sort of thing. yes, it's a lot of work and i'm not making much money off it- but its as a favor, hopefully karma will come around (though it seems to have bit me in the ass- losing $200!!!) ah well. but anyway- email me.

xcoldricex, fightin' the man, fighting for the trade deficit.

Sorry to hear about your wallet, man. Rough no matter how you look at it.

Do post pics of the loopwheeler hoody when you get it. Definately want to see the quality on this.

Coldrice can you describe the loopwheeler shop at all?

I can. Beautiful architectural interior design. Minimalism (of course, this is Japan), medium wood combined with metals. Sweatshirts are on lighted and on display like a sculpture museum. From the outside, it looks like a run down shack.

oh, i didn't think it looked like a rundown shack, maybe its changed since you've been there? they had a loopwheel on display in the front- slowly knitting (you see why the shirts/sweaters cost so much.. its soooo slow). bad news guys- xx-003's are sold out and they're making more- but they won't be ready til june/july. there's sizes under 30 and a 31 left. i did get the number of a store that might have them- i just told parachutes to help me call them- so i'll wait until he gets back to me- if not, i'll send your refunds. [IMG] i guess someone scooped them up on friday or monday. y'all slept on them!!

In addition to my other question: anyone here own a Red Moon wallet? I'm debating on which model to get. I like the girlie clasped wallets but they are huge-looking.

I hand-made a Red Moon "reproduction", which turned out surprisingly well, and I have a few left over. $85 shipped if you're interested.

Minya, your repro did look very nice. I got one of the ones xcoldricex was selling, and it is being suntanned as I write this. It is one of the smaller ones, meaning it does not stick out of a back pocket.

To see a worn Red Moon, you can look here, this one started as Red Moon colour sdSD, so very pale.

Here is my "knock-off" from coldrice, with a Red Moon braid:

Unfortunately, no. You can check their website for stockists. None outside of Japan.

I'm a big fan of Wild Swans. Their wallets don't have big metal buttons on them that rip through your jeans, and are nearly the same quality (I'm sure many people find this aspect of RM to be unobjectionable, however, more like a mark of pride). I'd really like to find an American-based leather worker to do a hand-made classic wallet. Get Smart? I'm betting you've got at least a couple pompadour'd connections in this game. [IMG]
