Title pretty much says it all. I have an inexpensive ($250) Movado that came with a very simple, thin, black leather strap. I think that the watch would benefit from a higher-quality strap, possibly with some sort of texture or stitching. I'd appreciate some suggestions from people who have experience with straps, since I have... none!
One concern is not overpowering the painfully simple face of the watch. Another concern is that the watch case has a thin profile, 5mm at its thickest, so a very fat, padded strap is probably out of the question. Then again, I may not know what I'm talking about.
My one and only use for this watch is black-tie events which happens to be why I appreciate the thin profile (stealth mode!).
