My career requires a uniform and as such I've never had much opportunity to delve into the world of finer men's wear. I have a Hugo Boss 'Black Label' OTR suit that has been serviceable until now. That being said, I just recently had the pleasure of getting a fully bespoke suit made from a local master tailor in Chicagoland (It will be a rich blue, slim fitting).

As a newbie, I was wondering what the consensus on a walnut shoe with a middle-dark blue suit is? The suit is about two steps below navy. I need a new pair of shoes and matching belt for the suit and don't rightly know if walnut is too bold. I don't have the suit on hand yet, so no pictures incoming :(

I was looking at these shoes in walnut color: https://www.anthonyveer.com/collect...clinton-cap-toe-oxford?variant=21175073407057

I think walnut is too light even with most navy suits, so if your new suit is two shades darker than navy, then in my opinion walnut is too bold. Burgundy and dark brown pair well though, and Skoaktiebolaget has some good options:

I apologize for the confusion, the suit is two steps lighter than navy. I'll see if I can get a picture soon but it's in the final stages of being constructed.

Here's a picture from my finial fitting. Poor lighting but you can see the blue of the suit

Would this color be too overwhelming??

I think the color will be fine. Burgundy would be my choice, but walnut will work. I will say since you mention this was your final fitting - the legs look too long - especially the left. You don't want your pants to bunch up like that. You should have a simple break - so with slim cut like that you shouldn't wear them so long.

Yes, the pants are being taken up an inch and the coat was being taken in a half inch at the bottom. I will post a finial picture to see opinions as this is my first ever experience in the world of bespoke clothing.
