Need a vest to go with my wedding suit

I bought this suit for my wedding, and love it.

Only problem, it is only 2-piece, and I really want to wear 3-piece suit. I attempted to get a vest made, but could not get the similar fabric anywhere, so I will have to go with a different fabric.

What sort of vest could I wear with it?

We are going for a casual vintage look at our wedding, and I don't want to wear a coloured vest, so I 'd like something greyish. Should it be darker? lighter? Similar fabric? Same herringbone design? Despite being linen/silk, it also has a wool look/texture to it.

Would a vest like like this work (if I changed the buttons)?

Any tips are greatly appreciated!!

Ha, fair point, which I am definitely considering.

But, if I really wanted to wear one....

Then you should have bought a 3pc suit.

You want one. You don't need one.

I appreciate the feedback, but that has nothing to do with the question I am asking.

I get it.
You have 20,000 posts, and you know I only singed up for this question, and will likely not post again after this thread.

But I came here for helpful suggestions, as I heard it was a good place for advice.

No need for the snarky forum-gatekeeper attitude. You're defeating the purpose of what is supposed to be an informative forum.

I'm not bening snarky at all...has nothing to do with my responses.

Look..any vest that you buy will look out of place with that suit. A dark grey vest won't look right IMO.

You will NEVER be able to find a similar fabric. And you won't be abele to get a vest made of the same design because you won't be able to find that fabric. You probably could not even source the same fabric from JCrew as each batch is not necessarily dyed the same.

Like I said, I would pass on a vest.

If you must, go for it.
